Winter lullaby

This is Iarla O'Lionaird, an Irish sean nos (old style) singer, singing "I Am Asleep." Iarla sings in Gaelic, but the emotions and even the peace in the song don't need understandable language to come through. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

Too bad our IT guy disabled streaming... I can't watch it (until I get home). But, I do think it's cool that you posted shamrocks yesterday and an Irish singer today. I love Irish music. One of my favorite bands is Clannad. They do a fair bit in Gaelic. Ever listen to them?

I like Clannad, as well. And Danu' -- energetic virtuosos, the lot of 'em, though not as well known. I saw them perform in Folsom (of prison fame, but not in the prison) years back. They're fabulous.
