The wealthiest, most dynamic country in the history of the world - floundering and flopping around such as it is.

I suspect the divisions of wealth have never been so polar opposite and we've never had expenses quite so extreme as we do now.

Seems to me, when the government becomes the pawn of corporations and when over 50 percent of the Fed budget goes to military stuff and we then used them for aggressive reasons (Iraqi) ... we end up with a messed up economy, a shrinking middle class, a service economy type of wage earner ... well then, nothing should be a surprise.

Damn all the politicians and the people who voted from them, every single person who supported a series of rats: Nixon, Reagan, Bush 1, Bush 2 along with a linage of terrible congressional stooges. There's the reason and there's where the blame should be placed.willhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15590217997145761582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25499814.post-56693094926114283572008-07-11T17:23:00.000-07:002008-07-11T17:23:00.000-07:00Maybe Phil Gramm was just trying the "Power of Pos...Maybe Phil Gramm was just trying the "Power of Positive Thinking" to get us beyond this mess - yea, right.

That must have been some powerful stuff he was smoking!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25499814.post-61520304987890668772008-07-11T17:20:00.000-07:002008-07-11T17:20:00.000-07:00You know, my wife insists on buying only organic v...You know, my wife insists on buying only organic veggies & fruits. We spend a TON of cash at the local food co-op (just about the only place to get decent organics regularly). While they try to supply as much locally grown produce as they can, it's notable that a lot of it comes from out west. So, I'm hoping (fingers crossed) that when we get to CA, the produce and fruit costs will actually decrease a bit as compared to PA.

Smoothies are an excellent way for diabetics to enjoy sweetness -- as the fruits & veggies are usually low glycemic. Here's our usual breakfast:

Into a blender, toss: a whole fresh pineapple, skinned & cored, two or three fresh (or frozen) bananas, and maybe a handful of strasberries. Nothing else necessary... just blend the holy sh*t out of it for a minute or so & you have a dee-lish (and super-healthy) smoothie!Boldly Serving Up Wheat Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17804188398018016592noreply@blogger.com
