And though it's not only disrepectful but illegal as well, they continue to let those flags hang 24/7 and continue to flap until only faded tatters remain. I guess they got over the fad before they bought a replacement. It's true. So many Americans are patriotic when the loud-mouthed, right-winged radio pundits tell them to be. You know, the ones who tell them to hate the French for acting sensibly and that the Germans are stupid for agreeing. We need more people who can think instead of being told what to think.gardenin' guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00563618051075370513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25499814.post-1146071869061448532006-04-26T10:17:00.000-07:002006-04-26T10:17:00.000-07:00Right on - now where do we go from here?Right on - now where do we go from here?jimcasertahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07599825260220591595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25499814.post-1145878712083862512006-04-24T04:38:00.000-07:002006-04-24T04:38:00.000-07:00Love your blog. This phenomenon pre-dates 9/11, and placed many a local planning commission in the unenviable position of either capitulating or being seen as "anti-American."<BR/><BR/>And don't you love that wood heat? I didn't burn a drop of oil this winter. Huzzah! What a pleasure your writing is, especially your slapdown of the Bush boy and the piece about your crystal tree. Your image of the Japanese maple alight with goldfinches and your encounter with the hummingbirds reminded me of the chickadee that set down among the snowy stars of my magnolia stellata a few days ago, six inches from my head. For ten seconds everything stopped as he eyed me. Then he said, "EEP!", leapt startled straight up from the twig, and flew away. I still feel blessed by the moment.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
